Devonia Sheepsking and Tannery.

Devonia is Britain's oldest established sheepskin tannery and still employs traditional processing techniques.

Locally sourced Lambskins are tanned to produce luxurious sheepskin rugs for individual floor coverings and other sheepskin products, some for further manufacture into various sheepskin goods.

Devonia sheepskins have been produced in the small town of Buckfastleigh on the edge of Dartmoor, in Devon, for some 200 years.

The tannery has always procured the highest grade lambskins from locally bred flocks of sheep.

The combination of traditional processing techniques handed down over the years to the current highly skilled craftsmen and the use of the local lambskins makes the Devonia sheepskin a unique and sought after product.

The small size of the company creates a friendly atmosphere amongst the employees which is present in dealings with customers and general enquiries.

The Company offers a contract dressing service enabling the individual to have their own sheepskins (or other similar sized skins) tanned to the normal Devonia standard.
